July 26: Happy Birthday Mick

I shot these photos in December when the Stones played the Barclay Center. Mick was in motion, nonstop, the entire show.

He worked the "tongue" like nobody's business, and I got to watch it all from the FIFTH ROW!!!

The boys are all getting up there in age--Ronnie is a craggy 66, Keith turns 70 later this year, and Charlie Watts is the elder statesman at 72.

But thanks to Larry King, the guys on stage were not the 

oldest ones there!

Strange Fruit on Sixth Avenue

I was stuck in traffic on the bus along Sixth Avenue the other day, so I was very appreciative of the entertaining spectacle right outside the Grace Building. The performers, who swayed atop 16-foot flexible poles, were members of Strange Fruit, a Melbourne-based performing arts company.

You can still catch performances of The Three Belles at The World Financial Center Friday and Saturday.

You might say this takes pole dancing to new heights.

Playing Chicken

I can only assume that the reason I received this information
today, was that I was meant to share it with you all.

Linda Molenaar spent 21 days at home, sitting on a couch, using her own body heat to incubate a chicken egg. 2x2projects is proud to present the result of her one year research on this project, such as objects, video and a performance.
